GrahamsNumberPlus1 ("GNP1", "we", "us") operates the website grahamsnumberplus1.com and associated tools at server-tools.grahamsnumberplus1.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Blockchain data you submit. When you interact with our smart contracts (Quiz Challenge, Soracles, ADA Giveaway), you provide a Cardano wallet address. This address is recorded on the public Cardano blockchain, which we do not control. We may also store your wallet address server-side to display leaderboards and process payouts.
Server logs. Our web server automatically records IP addresses, the full page address requested (including, as a query string, anything typed into the rewards lookup on the rebate, bonus and zero-block pages), and browser type. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and debugging, and are rotated daily and deleted after 90 days.
Third-party services. We use Blockfrost to query Cardano blockchain data, Tawk.to for live chat support, and Google Fonts for typography. These services may set their own cookies or collect data under their own privacy policies.
Page-visit statistics. For each page view we keep one row of aggregate statistics: country (worked out on our own server from a local database, never sent to a third party), device type, operating system and browser family (no version numbers), the page viewed, the referring site as a host name only (never the full link), the time rounded down to the minute, whether the request looked like an automated crawler, and whether the visit showed signs of someone actually using the page (scrolling, tapping, or staying at least 30 seconds), recorded as a simple yes or no and a rough time band. To count visitors rather than page views, each request is given a short one-way identifier: a hash of your address and browser combined with a secret key that is replaced every night, so identifiers cannot be linked from one day to the next. This is deleted after 12 months.
Live view. While you are actively on the site, the exact second of each page view is also held for a few hours in the server's working memory only, never written to disk, so we can see a live view of current activity. It is discarded automatically within 3 hours and is never part of the stored statistics above.
IP address. We temporarily collect your full IP address for statistical analysis of site traffic. It is kept for up to 7 days, then deleted automatically by an hourly, time-based job. If a visit ever uses the rewards lookup, the address is cleared immediately for that entire visit (every page viewed in it, before and after the lookup, not only the lookup request itself), so it can never be lined up with a rewards lookup to work out which stake address was searched for.
Search and lookup terms. When you use a search or lookup tool on the site (for example a pool ID, ticker, or block/slot lookup), we record the term searched, what kind of search it was, and a timestamp. Nothing links this to you: no IP address, no session, no device. It is kept in a separate database from the visit statistics above, with no shared identifier between them. If you use the rewards lookup, the stake address you enter is never stored at all, only a count that the feature was used. Individual records are kept for 2 years; aggregate counts (such as which pools are most searched) are kept longer.
We do not require account registration, collect names, email addresses, or payment details. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, or share the statistics described above with anyone; see Visit Statistics for exactly what we keep ourselves and why none of it identifies you. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
GNP1 does not set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party services (Tawk.to, Google Fonts) may set cookies necessary for their operation. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Cardano is a public blockchain. Any transaction you make, including smart contract interactions, delegation, and ADA transfers, is permanently and publicly visible. We cannot delete, modify, or restrict access to on-chain data. Please consider this before submitting transactions.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you (such as server logs). Because the visit statistics described above hold nothing that identifies you, there is no record among them we could look up by name or address. For data recorded on the Cardano blockchain, deletion is not technically possible due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
